About the Authors

Diana Elder, an Accredited GenealogistⓇ professional, author, and speaker, has eighteen years of research experience and holds a credential in genealogy research from the International Commission for the Accreditation of Professional Genealogists (ICAPGen). Her area of expertise is the United States Gulf South Region, which includes Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. A Magna Cum Laude graduate from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Elder combines her roles as a lifelong learner and educator. She co-authored the bestselling book, Research Like a Pro: A Genealogist’s Guide and Research Like a Pro with DNA. She also established the “Research Like a Pro” study group and e-Course to facilitate practical learning.
