Michelle is an Accredited Genealogist® (ICAPGen) who loves connecting people to their past. She works as an independent contractor for Family Locket Genealogists, specializing in United States Southwest Region, which includes Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah; particularly in the area of Colonial Spanish ancestry. Her roots extend to Mexico, Canada, Ukraine, Norway and the UK.
She provides support for the ICAPGen Remote Testing Committee and NGS Genealogy Courses. She assisted groups and individuals with research instruction at FamilySearch Centers in St. George, and Heber City, Utah, and has mentored for Research Like A Pro (RLP). She completed courses at NGS, GRIP, SLIG, ICAPGen, RLP, RLP with DNA, and is nearing completion of ProGen (June 2024) and Your DNAGuide Study Group (March 2024). She is a member of the National Genealogical Society, Utah Genealogical Association, and Association of Professional Genealogists.
When she’s not researching, Michelle enjoys backyard barbecues with family, organizing home spaces, and watching documentaries.
