About the Book
In Research Like a Pro with DNA, Nicole, Robin, and I share the method we use in our professional research to incorporate DNA with documentary evidence. We’ve carefully developed and tested a step-by-step method to organize and use your DNA test results.
Using the book, you can study the methodology in each chapter, then apply it in your own research by completing the associated task. You will group and evaluate your matches, diagram descent from the common ancestor, plan the next research steps, track correspondence and research in a log, and write a report incorporating DNA evidence. Work samples and templates are included.
With the purchase of the book, you’ll be eligible to join the private RLP with DNA Facebook group where you can ask questions and get help for your specific project. Simply email your receipt to email@example.com.
Previously available only on Kindle, the paperback version of Research Like a Pro with DNA can now be purchased at Amazon for $29.99.
“I have taken so many courses and tried so many times to figure out how to use my DNA in genealogy. This book is so easy to understand, and yet detailed and comprehensive. It takes you step by step down a logical path and even includes assignments for you to try with each chapter. Everything has finally clicked for me. What a relief! Must have if you just can’t seem to ‘get’ what to do with your DNA results! Great for those who want to understand before they test too!”
“This book provides an incredible toolset to tackle any tough DNA research question. It is written so clearly that those who are new to DNA will get a lot out of it, yet the content is diverse enough that advanced researchers will find plenty to bookmark and highlight for future reference. A great companion piece to the first book!”
A special preview of Chapters 1 and 2 is available for our readers. We hope you like what you see! Click here to view: RLP_look-inside.
Best of luck as you learn to research like a pro with DNA!

When it comes to research resources, I like to have a book on the shelf/in hand. I’m pretty excited that this has come out in print now, and that’s what I said when I shared this blog post on my Facebook page. 😄 My birthday is next week, and winning a copy of this book would be a great birthday present! 🥳
This book looks just like what I need to get me to thd next level in my DNA family research.
I am so excited for this book! Your teaching style and research methods have taken my research to the next level!
I posted about your new book on Facebook. I am taking classes through BYUI to get my family history research certificate, just a beginner here. I went to some of your classes at the family history conference at BYU two years in a row and really loved your teaching style and expertise. Thank you!
I can’t wait for this one! I am so grateful for your willingness to share your wisdom with us. May you be blessed for your efforts! Just posted it to my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/linda.mccracken.31

I have posted this on my FaceBook page and made glowing (and totally appropriate and true) comments! 🙂 Thank you for your help in my genealogy research techniques and skills.
I shared the link on my personal Facebook page (https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Ffamilylocket.com%2Fresearch-like-a-pro-with-dna-now-available-in-paperback%2F%3Ffbclid%3DIwAR3RZZ89jFIQVwsbnCdIekbB1k6bHF4V0BcPlGRdyRsvtF8XUXP6lqDkB2Y&h=AT1GGK3qjS1mmS7kJi1PKlCh7AmfkkUrug2M50DYSshUiG0qCXlvpwTtDlvcKBashH59LniI3__zruCHjCUdh-n_3KxUtqy4TA-Jb2o0DH42WYHcm8MCti4kaJCL&s=1), but I wrote in Swedish… Since all the genealogists I know are Swedes… 🙂
Bought the Kindle version and will be buying the paper copy. Love the RLP process! Shared to my Facebook page.
If this book is as good as I expect it will be, I hope many others get a chance to read it and apply its principles to their family history / genealogical research. I look forward to reading it, and I just posted the link to this blog post on my personal Facebook page.
Took the course, which I highly recommend. Looking forward to hopefully getting it for a Christmas/holiday present when my FAN club get notified of my Facebook post.
